Why you should work ON the business rather than INSIDE it…

We all get stuck working IN our businesses right? It’s so easy… There’s always a million and one things that you need your focus.

But you know what the $1m plus business owners are doing differently? They are prioritising, delegating and outsourcing. They become ninjas at ONLY working on tasks that actively grow their business, and leave the smaller every day details to other people to manage.

If you don’t become a master of this, chances are that you will still be in exactly the same place you are now, in 10 years from now.

I’m guessing that’s a place of stress, cashflow pains, overwhelm and working waaaaaaay too many hours each week? Or maybe you are ok at managing your work hours, but then your business doesn’t grow, and has stagnant sales that just about cover your costs? It’s all kind of stressful and depressing isn’t it?

I used to work 50 hours a week, with 3 young kids. I’d work during school hours, and then again after I put the kids to bed at night, I’d smash out another 3 or 4 hours work. I was always running from one thing to the next, and in my state of busyness I might have been efficient, but I wasn’t working smartly.

What I learnt in my journey, from building my own multi-million dollar companies and from my high level mentors, and what I teach other female business owners now, is how to be a ninja at managing your own time.

Getting crystal clear at what tasks you can kill, what needs someone else to do them (and how you manage this process) and which tasks you MUST focus on in order to grow and scale your business.

It’s really the 80/20 rule. There’s a good chance that 80% of what you are working on right now, every day is actually not making a scrap of difference to growing your bottom line. But the 20% of what you do on marketing, sales and branding, new projects to grow your products etc, is what you really should be spending at least 80% of your time on.

This used to be me, and it’s still most of the women I coach. I have been working only 10 hours a week in my companies for the last 2 years, whilst still growing my brands. I have mastered this and I want to show you how to master it too.
